Béatrice Coron

Chrysalis' Dreams
Hand-cut Morgan Paper
Béatrice Coron has lived in France (her native country) , Egypt and Mexico and China before moving to New York and starting her artist journey. She briefly studied Chinese at Lyon III and art at the Lyon Beaux Arts and consider herself self-taught.
The experience of living in different cultures fueled her curiosity. Coron developed a language of cut stories with multiple interpretations. Coron's career took her from illustration to bookarts, fine arts and public art. Rather than leaving an expression for another, Coron favors an expression that would englobe all of her creative instincts.

Her work has been purchased by major collections, such as the Metropolitan Museum, The Walker Art center and The Getty. Her public art can be seen in subways, airport and sports facilities among others.
