Betsy Begue

Icosahedron Box

While living in France for 5 years, Betsy Begue was introduced to Cartonnage, the French art of creating objects from book board, paper, fabric and trim. She studied in the Atelier of Fanchon Grand, eventually teaching international students who shared her passion for box making. A graduate of Hollanders School of Book and Paper Arts, Betsy has updated her art by fusing French techniques with book binding skills. Her box creations were recently exhibited at the University of Michigan Taubman Center. She teaches Cartonnage at her home in North Canton, and throughout Ohio and Michigan.
