One Sheet Wonder

Taught by Jamye Jamison

Fold four simple structures leading up to a complex “blizzard book.” Inspired by innovative structures pioneered by book artist Hedi Kyle, you will learn how to make folded book structures from single sheets of paper. This version of the blizzard book will be sized to hold business cards and finished off with covers made from a decorative folded envelope for extra storage.

Jamye Jamison is the owner of Jamison Art Conservation, a paper conservation studio in Cleveland, Ohio. She received an MLIS with a concentration in book and paper conservation from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. During her conservation career she has worked at ICA Art Conservation in Cleveland, Zukor Art Conservation in Oakland, CA, and the Newberry Library in Chicago, IL. She regularly lectures and teaches classes for museums, libraries, colleges and artists on topics such as conservation matting and framing, basic book repair, care and handling of works on paper, working with contemporary artists, conservation materials for artists, and collecting fine art from a conservator’s perspective.
