Traditional & Contemporary Paper Marbling
Taught by Jenniffer Omaitz
Similar to the patterns found in smooth marble and other stones, the ancient art of marbling uses paints suspended on the surface of thickened water to create multi-colored patterns and unique designs. You will spend two days exploring traditional and non-traditional patterning and design through marbling on a variety of paper. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with an understanding of marbling, as well as a stack of hand marbled paper to display or use for future projects.
Jenniffer Omaitz (1979, Cleveland, OH) lives in Kent, OH.
