Blown Glass
The first moment I witnessed a glassblower at work I was mesmerized by the grace and beauty of the craft. My journey with glass began at the Cleveland Institute of Art my senior year in high school. A year or so later, I moved to North Carolina and enrolled in workshops at Penland School of Crafts. I have been fortunate enough to study and apprentice with many world renowned glass artists. Currently I am working and teaching at Superior Hot Glass and The Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio.
The inspiration for my art comes from my love of the whimsical and imaginative expression of folk art, the sophisticated work of the modern abstract movement, and my amazingly creative children. I play with the colors and texture of my glass to create simple yet beautiful forms.
