Your Gift to the Morgan Conservatory Can Make a Positive Impact in Artistic Excellence for the Cleveland Region
Help us Reach our $20,000 goal
This year the Morgan is focused on creating opportunities for artistic growth and excellence. Despite losing an important grant, we are pushing forward with two of our most dynamic programs because we believe in supporting artists and cultural growth in the Cleveland area and Northeast Ohio. The Morgan’s renowned Artists-in-Residence program provides emerging and established artists from around the world an opportunity to concentrate and develop new ambitious projects in papermaking, printmaking, and book arts. Working with five phenomenal artists this year, they will have 24-7 access to our state-of-the-art studios while sharing their work through artist talks and more.
Secondly, the Morgan is launching a Certificate in Professional Papermaking this summer, a six-week intensive program that will train the next generation of hand papermakers. Strengthening their technical skills in Eastern and Western papermaking, they will cultivate contemporary collaborative and artistic techniques that are essential to this continuously evolving craft and art form. The five selected artists will emerge as professional papermakers at a graduation ceremony with public presentations on Saturday, July 25th.
Help us provide pivotal opportunities for these promising and talented artists to grow their flourishing practices by making a tax-deductible donation today. Gifts up to the first $5,000 will be matched, making your gift go twice as far!
