Artist Statement
In my work, I am interested in life cycles, myth, and nature, and their connection to people. In 2013, a series of small health problems made me begin to see a link between nature and my own body, something which I knew I could only barely understand. In an attempt to do so, I began making both abstract and figurative works in handmade paper, which reference biological, cellular, and oftentimes perverse or alien feminine forms.
