Community Arts
at the

Morgan Conservatory

The Morgan is dedicated to bringing papermaking, book arts and letterpress printing to our community. We host a variety of custom workshop programs for people of all ages and abilities, on site as well as in schools, libraries, senior centers, and other organizations, in addition to participating in the many arts festivals around Cleveland.

Community  Workshops

The Morgan Conservatory offers both on- and off-site programming for organizations, clubs, schools and groups of artists. Each workshop is tailored to meet the artistic needs of the group and can run anywhere from one hour to a week in length. Prices vary depending on the number of participants, duration of workshop, and which topics are taught.
 

Workshop topics can include:

  • Western Hand Papermaking

  • Eastern Hand Papermaking

  • Marbling on Paper

  • Poster Press Printing using Metal, Wood Type and/or Woodblocks

  • Letterpress Printing on the Vandercook Press

  • Bookbinding

Please schedule at least four weeks in advance to secure your ideal date. Teaching artists from the Morgan are available Wednesday through Friday to conduct custom workshops in addition to select weekends.
