Elaine Battles was born in Cleveland, Ohio, she currently works and lives in Northeastern, Ohio. She received her BFA in Ceramics from The Cleveland
Institute of Art. Elaine has participated in residencies at The John Michael Kohler Art Center, The Watershed Center for Ceramics, The Penland
School of the Crafts, The Morgan Papermaking Conservatory. Elaine is a recipient of a Professional Development Assistance Award from the Ohio
Arts Council. She has exhibited her work at The Butler Institute of American Art, The Canton Museum of Art, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Lancaster Museum
of Art, The Ohio Craft Museum, The Southern Ohio Museum,The Springfield Museum of Art and internationally in Korea at The Cheongju International Craft Biennale.
