During this workshop taught by Katie Delay, participants will make basic accordion folds and explore how the accordion can be the foundation for infinite variations and structures.

About

The Accordion Fold can be enhanced by adding signatures, pockets, map folds, cutouts, and pop-ups. The imagination is the only limit! Participants will make 3 books, including a woven double accordion. Two hardcover accordion books will also be included in this workshop. No experience required!

Student Supply List: All equipment and materials will be provided

Instructor Bio: Katie Delay is an artist/educator/author who specializes in Artist Books. She studied book arts at the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Scuola Grafica Internationale Venezia, and Tipoteca Fondazione, both in Italy. She has been honored by the Ohio Art Education Association with the Regional Award as Outstanding Art Teacher. Her books can be found in the collections of the University of Toronto, Colorado College, University of Puget Sound, University of California, Los Angeles, and Yale University.
