The Spring 2020 issue of CAN Journal makes its debut in a launch party and networking event at the Morgan. It is the most comprehensive overview of upcoming art events in Cleveland, including previews from dozens of galleries and studios, as well as independent reporting and commentary, including bilingual coverage of projects associated with the Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion CONTAR program.

CAN Journal was created by galleries as a bootstrap effort to help themselves communicate about upcoming programs. The first CAN Journal debuted at a party, which was the keystone of its distribution plan: Artists, galleries and studios would gather to socialize, network, and to take a box of the new CAN Journal back to their venue to give to their patrons. The tradition continues: each quarter, artists, administrators and patrons gather to socialize, network, and be part of the first step in distributing a new magazine full of information about upcoming art exhibits and events.
