Elaine Battles is a ceramicist, printmaker and papermaker living in Ohio. She will be experimenting with casting abaca pulp during her residency this March. Elaine is interested in comparing the fragility and transparency of the abaca fiber to porcelain.

Elaine received a BFA in ceramics from the Cleveland Institute of Art and has completed artist residencies at the John Michael Kohler Art Center and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts.
