Bellamy Printz is originally from New York City, but has made NE Ohio her home. She received her BA from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her MFA from University of Washington, Seattle.  Her work has been seen extensively locally including at MOCA Cleveland, the William Busta Gallery, BayARTS, the 2018 CAN Triennial. Other exhibitions include the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center; Universidad Finis Terrae, Santiago, Chile and Galerie Drei, Dresden, Germany.  Her work is included in the State of Ohio, CARTA, Progressive Insurance and Cleveland Clinic collections, as well as in many notable private collections. She has received several grants from the Ohio Arts Council including an Individual Artist Fellowship. Dedicated to her craft of printmaking, she co-founded Zygote Press in 1996.  She and her partner at Zygote, Liz Maugans, were recipients of the 2012 Martha Joseph Award from the Cleveland Arts Prize. Printz’s work will be seen at the Morgan Conservatory in October 2019 as part of the exhibition, Wonder.
