VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
DATE: Monday, August 2nd & 9th
TIME: 5:00 pm–8:00 pm EST
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, July 26th
Although this art form has ancient roots, calligraphy is utilized today in a variety of contemporary art practices. This workshop is designed to give you a taste of two major calligraphy fonts. During your first session you will focus on Roman capitals, and your second session will spotlight humanistic minuscule. Over the two weeks you will learn the history of both fonts, learn spacing and proportions, and learn how to utilize calligraphy tools and gouache to create your own calligraphy alphabet.
