Intro to Marbling Workshop
This one-day workshop will cover paper marbling at an introductory level. Participants will be involved in all steps of the process, including reviewing the history of marbling, learning about the tools of the trade, and learning how to prepare the carrageenan. Registration deadline: 1/27/24

This one-day workshop will cover paper marbling at an introductory level. Participants will be involved in all steps of the process, including reviewing the history of marbling, learning about the tools of the trade, and learning how to prepare the carrageenan. The workshop will include demonstrations of how to create several different traditional marbling patterns before participants explore and utilize the skills they learned. At the end of the workshop, each student will have marbled paper to take home. No prior experience required! Registration deadline: 1/27/24

Instructor Bio: Ryan Cermak is a visual artist residing in Cleveland, Ohio. Ryan is the studio assistant at the Morgan Conservatory, where he produces handmade papers and teaches community outreach classes.
