Dual exhibition:
Unknown Terrain + Know How
Unknown Terrain
Featuring artwork by the Morgan’s founder and artistic director, Tom Balbo, Susan Danko, Danielle Wyckoff, Taryn McMahon, Megan Singleton, and Kristina Paabus.
Unknown Terrain transforms the familiar into the fantastic. Enter the Morgan, an industrial machine shop converted into a 15,000-square-foot arts center. Inside, you’ll find an environment once utilized for industry repurposed for visual arts, an evolution indicative of the very philosophy behind the show. It features three-dimensional, multimedia artworks designed to invoke the varying relationships between senses, space, and place. Unknown Terrain seeks to highlight the many ways we interact with physical as well as psychological landscapes.
Know How (Part II)
Summer Workshop Instructors Exhibition
Featuring art by Hannah Bennett, Jim Canary, Kyle Holland, Bill Lorton and Rhonda Miller.
Know How provides insight into the expression, inspiration, and unique skill sets of the artists and educators teaching workshops at the Morgan this summer. This is the first installment of a rotating three-part exhibition featuring works in papermaking, printing, bookbinding, book arts, and mixed techniques.
