Drawing is fundamental to any art practice and enhances our ability to research, design, and communicate intuitively. Through drawing, participants can celebrate our world and imagine new worlds. Charcoal is perhaps humankind's oldest drawing tool. In this workshop, participants will learn how to make their own drawing charcoal from local trees and vines in The Morgan Garden, both an empowering and transformative endeavor. No experience required!

Student Supply List: Optional - Tin Can, Paper, Sticks

Instructor Bio: Anna Chapman is an artist and educator passionate about continuously exploring transformative approaches to art making, community practice, and connection to land in light of destabilized socio-ecological contexts.
