Pati Scobey received her MFA in Graphics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984 and her BFA in Painting from the University of Kansas in 1976. As an independent artist, grants and residencies have provided support for a number of her projects. These include her on-going project, “Lost with the Poets” which she worked on as the Phillip C Curtis Artist-in-Residence in Albion, Michigan and as a Resident Fellow at Edenfred in Madison, WI. In 2011-2012 Pati was honored to serve as the Koopman Distinguished Chair in the Visual Arts at The University of Hartford in Connecticut working with Book Arts students and participating in the exhibition “Rare Beauty: Contemporary Visions in Book Arts”. Her work can be seen at many institutions including the Getty Research Center, the British Library and the Museum for the Book in the Netherlands. Pati lives in Concord, Michigan.
